Château Lanessan is a historic Cru Bourgeois estate in the Haut-Médoc, located in Cussac-Fort-Médoc and owned by the Bouteiller family since 1793. The estate's gravelly soils and traditional winemaking approach produce wines of genuine Médoc character and excellent value.
The 2017 vintage shows a classic Médoc profile with a garnet colour and a nose of blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco, and earthy notes. Medium-bodied on the palate with firm but polished tannins, good structure, and a clean, persistent finish. A textbook Haut-Médoc for everyday enjoyment.
Appellation: Haut-Médoc AOC. Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. Ageing: 12 months in French oak. Food Pairing: Roast beef, lamb chops, hard cheeses. Cellaring: 5–10 years.
