L'Orée is one of the most celebrated white wines of the entire Rhône Valley — a single-parcel Hermitage Blanc from M. Chapoutier sourced from old Marsanne vines on the Hermitage hill's iconic granite and gneiss soils. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest white wines produced in France.
Deep golden colour with an extraordinarily complex nose of ripe white peach, apricot, beeswax, toasted almond, white truffle, and a profound mineral, stony depth. Monumental on the palate — rich, textured, and almost oily in its concentration, yet underpinned by vibrant acidity and a finish of extraordinary length and complexity.
Appellation: Hermitage AOC. Grape: 100% Marsanne. Viticulture: Certified biodynamic. Cellaring: 15–30 years.
