We do not need to praise the talent of François Villard any longer and this new Cuvée Poivre et Sol only confirms this. This Saint-joseph is made from a mix of vines from different plots. The vines are all about 20 years old and grow on a drained soil which makes the wine more precise and mineral. 18 months in barrels are necessary to get the full expression of this 100% syrah. A delicious wine! This wine showcases a creamy texture, and soft on the palate. Balanced by a nice acidity and aromatically fresh with ripe fruit and spices.
