Château La Tour de Mons is a historic Cru Bourgeois estate in the Margaux appellation, producing wines of classic elegance and finesse from its gravelly, well-drained soils. The estate has a long history of producing wines that reflect the delicacy and perfume that Margaux is celebrated for worldwide.
The 2014 vintage is now drinking beautifully at peak maturity. Garnet with brick-orange hints, the nose is complex with dried rose petals, tobacco, cedar, blackcurrant, and earthy notes. Silky and refined on the palate with well-integrated tannins and a long, aromatic finish. A classic, mature Margaux at an excellent price.
Appellation: Margaux AOC. Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot. Food Pairing: Duck breast, lamb rack, truffle risotto. Cellaring: Drinking well now through 2028.
