Clos Marsalette is a small, artisan estate in Pessac-Léognan, one of Bordeaux's most prestigious appellations for both red and white wines. The estate's gravelly soils and careful winemaking produce a white wine of genuine Graves character — rich, mineral, and complex.
The 2020 vintage is golden in colour with a rich and complex nose of ripe white peach, apricot, toasted hazelnut, vanilla, and a distinctive smoky, mineral note typical of great white Pessac-Léognan. Full-bodied and creamy on the palate with excellent balance between richness and freshness, and a long, mineral finish.
Appellation: Pessac-Léognan AOC. Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon. Ageing: Fermented and aged in French oak barrels. Food Pairing: Lobster, roasted sea bass, cream-based dishes. Cellaring: 5–10 years.
